Commissioned by Ennio Ferrari SA, which was awarded the main construction works for the new IRB Campus, we built the load-bearing structural steel columns with fire-protection coating.

The steel elements, made of 150×150 mm steel tubes with wall thicknesses varying according to their position, were treated with an R60 fire-protection coating and completed with capitals, also in steel, to absorb the punching shear forces of the reinforced concrete slabs.

We produced 208 columns for a total of 37 tonnes.
