Role of JODA Metalcostruzioni
Our company handled the supply and installation of automated and manual folding doors providing access to the buildings for trains as well as for motor vehicles, other work vehicles and people (service doors integrated into the folding doors).
Technical features and descriptions
17 automated glazed folding doors with integrated service door
Dimensions of the smallest door: Height 4730 x Width 3520 mm
Maximum door dimensions: Height 6150 mm x Width 5720 mm
1 manual folding door
Dimensions: Height 2860 mm x Width 2870 mm
for a total of approx. 367 square metres of doors installed.
Small canopies were installed above each door to protect the motors and the related opening/closing transmission levers from the weather.
To fix each individual door to the prefabricated building, it was necessary to build structural steel portal frames made of UPE sections joined by welding and mechanically fixed to the external load-bearing walls of the building, through the intermediate insulation, and to the internal walls with threaded rods and spacers.
