Lot ATG 640.3 Bodio – Noise Barriers

On behalf of our client Ennio Ferrari SA, at ATG lot 640.3 in Bodio we fabricated and installed the posts for the glazed noise barriers at the southern exit of the Gotthard Base Tunnel.

The posts, made of IPE 180 steel sections, were installed on top of the wing wall of the south portal and extend for approximately 500 metres at 4-metre centres. Along the glazed noise barrier (glass supplied and installed by a third-party company), we also fabricated and installed 16 doors of mixed steel-and-glass construction as escape routes in the event of a breakdown or accident along the railway line.
